Cheryl Askwith

Cheryl joined Traverse House in April 2011. Cheryl grew up in Detroit, until she was 18. She moved to the Upper Peninsula, where she remained until 1994 when she moved to the Traverse City area to continue her work with the Tribes. She has a BS from Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, MI in Human Services.

Cheryl's background consists of case management of children and families; advocacy between the Tribe and Federal Government in addition to working with Probate, District, and Circuit Courts in several counties. She always preferred working more hands on with people versus stacks of paperwork; so clubhouse with the side by side work we do on a daily basis is perfect.
