Traverse House recognizes housing as an important part of a healthy life. Although we don’t have direct housing resources, we partner with Goodwill Street Outreach and Northwest Michigan Supportive Housing. As part of the Northwest Michigan Coalition to End Homelessness, our partners create a link to housing resources for people experiencing homelessness and housing instability.
Goodwill Industries of Northern Michigan provides street outreach
and provides resources to help people end their homelessness where people are in the streets, woods, abandoned buildings, parked cars, etc. They help people who are homeless apply for housing help, rental applications, and help people reach shelter or survival gear as needed. They also help people find mental and physical health resources as needed.
