Mary Swartz

Mary joined the Advisory Board in June 2017. Mary has over 20 years of experience in Education and Administration and was the former Director of Continuing Education at Western Michigan University. Mary has a BS from Central Michigan University as well as a Graduate certificate in Holistic Health Care from Western Michigan University. 

Mary has been active in the education committee at Traverse House, has received ICCD comprehensive clubhouse training from Genesis Club in Worcester, MA. She has served in a number of volunteer capacities in the community. These include Grand Traverse/Leelanau County Board Member, Alliance for Mentally Ill Board Member, Advisory Board Member for Grand Traverse Pavilions, a member of the Integrated Medical Education for Munson Medical Center and served on the Northern Lakes Recipient Rights Committee for five years. Mary is also a current member of NAMI.
